That night, we celebrated Tre’s birthday. We met up with our friends Craig and Erin Brown for Korean BBQ and Alice in Wonderland 3D.
The next day, Sunday, Tre had a sailing race and I took a loooong nap and did chores. After he got home, we met up with Jayne to put together an offer on a house (the bank countered, we accepted, but we haven’t heard anything else just yet). After that, we went over to Joe and Elizabeth’s for a yummy pasta dinner with Elizabeth and Nicholas. Joe got called out on an emergency server issue, so although he slaved over the sauce all day, we enjoyed it without him. After dinner, we all took Nicholas to Golden Spoon for the 1st time.
The frozen yogurt came in a paper cup and Nicholas has only eaten frozen yogurt out of a cone before, so it was a bit of a challenge to get him to use a spoon rather than lick it. Licking it was ok in the beginning, but when it got down too low, then it was hard for his little tongue to reach it…not to mention keeping it from pouring out on his pjs. He was willing to use a spoon, but every time he put his spoon in it, he couldn’t get it out (he’d put it in too deep and then the spoon would basically suction itself in) and then he’d go back to using his tongue. Tre ended up feeding him spoonfuls like a baby, but he got it eaten and just in time for bed – ha ha.
Monday was opening day for the Padres, so we went to cheer them on. They played the Braves and by the end of the 4th inning the Padres were winning 11-0. Final score was 17-2. Not sure how they've done since, but that was one heck of a season opener!

Yah Padres! And who are Nicholas' parents? They haven't taught him how to eat ice cream out of a bowl?? he he...
